ABOUT US

Veevers Bryant Psychologists was founded by clinical psychologists Charles Veevers and Danny Bryant, who each have over 20 years of experience in providing psychological services to individuals, couples, adolescents, and children. In 2008 formed Veevers Bryant Psychologists and began providing psychological services to individuals and groups in Southbank and at The Division of General Practice in Hoppers Crossing. At first we were just the two principal psychologists, Charles Veevers and Danny Bryant, but within a few months we grew to four psychologists, and within a year we had expanded again to include consulting rooms in Spotswood.

Due to ongoing demand for our psychological services we then moved from Southbank to more spacious premises in South Melbourne, where we have worked as a group of six psychologists for the past 10 years. Unfortunately we no longer work in the West, however, in conjunction with our South Melbourne rooms, we provided individual treatment at Medical Specialists on Collins in the CBD from 2013 to 2019. In January 2018 we moved again to even larger premises at 181 Cecil Street South Melbourne, where we are now located and hope to stay for next 10 years and beyond.

Charles came from a background of working at Odyssey House Victoria and the Victorian Aids Council and Danny came from a background of working at Victoria Police. Both Charles and Danny have been fascinated by psychoanalysis for two decades and have been trained in Freudian and Lacanian approaches to psychoanalysis at the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis.

Our current group of practitioners, who have advanced training in a wide range of approaches to therapy, come from backgrounds in adolescent psychology, mental heath care nursing, forensic psychiatric care, pain management and accident rehabilitation, brain injury, IVF treatment, and post graduate research in the university setting.

We are very proud of the diversity of experience in the field of psychology, which is contained within our practice, and of the open-minded willingness to continue with never ending professional training in a wide range of therapeutic approaches to psychological treatment.
